Frihed med sigte mod God. Uden Gud intet håb
“Thus where freedom is concerned, we must remember that human freedom always requires a convergence of various freedoms. Yet this convergence cannot succeed unless it is determined by a common intrinsic criterion of measurement, which is the foundation and goal of freedom. Let us put it very simply: man needs God, otherwise he remains without hope… Man’s great, true hope which holds firm in spite of all disappointments can only be God – God who has loved us and who continues to love us ‘to the end,’ until all ‘is accomplished’”. Pave Benedikt den 16., Spe Salvi, 23+27.
