Guds kærlighed og eukaristien

I eukaristien drages vi ind i Jesu offer, i Jesu given sig selv totalt for os og for verden. I eukaristien bliver vi et legeme fuldstændig forenet i den samme eksistens. Herudfra bestemmes vores etik og vores handlemåde. Benedikt skriver: ”Communion draws me out of myself towards him (Kristus), and thus also towards unity with all Christians… Faith, worship and ethos are interwoven as a single reality, which takes shape in our encounter with God’s agape… Eucharistic communion, includes the reality both of being loved and of loving others in turn.” Pave Benedikt den 16., Deus Caritas Est, 14.
